Meet Dr. D

I am Dr. Angelica Dempsey and I am a licensed psychotherapist in the state of Georgia. I am honored to work with you during your healing journey! A little bit about me - I possess over 15 years experience within the counseling/psychology profession. My experience includes working with children, adolescents, families, and addictions. I am competent in psychosocial evaluations and assessments, behavioral management models, counseling therapy, crisis management interventions and procedures, and case management; both in the community and in high intensity, clinical environments. CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy); the scientific therapeutic approach, is the primary approach we will use to aid in this process. Because everyone is unique, I customize counseling interventions for each individual, in order to meet their specific needs; thus other therapeutic approaches may be employed along this journey.
I will be committed to helping YOU reach your highest potential throughout this therapeutic process. I understand that life situations can become challenging and overwhelming at times. Because everyone is unique, my counseling philosophy encompasses different therapeutic techniques that are customized to meet and address your specific concerns. This will help with the development of a treatment plan to best help you. Building a strong therapeutic rapport is important in this process so that clear understandings of your goals are addressed. We will explore your strengths and barriers as well as the stage you are at in relation to reaching your goals. My objective is to motivate and assist you with reaching new milestones. During this process, you can expect open and honest communication, combined with empathy and respect.

While I am currently licensed in the state of Georgia, I am in the process of seeking licensure in additional states across the United States. 

My hobbies include spending time with my family, playing sports, and exercising.
